About Wallula Vineyard:
High above the Columbia River, south of Kennewick, Wallula Vineyard is a site of exceptional beauty and prime terroir. Its south-facing slopes, ranging from gentle inclines to steep grades, create a diverse landscape where both premium reds and high-quality whites thrive. The Columbia River plays a crucial role, moderating temperatures and acting as a natural insulator. The nutrient-rich Shano silt loam soils, deposited by the ancient Missoula floods, contribute to the vineyard's ability to produce highly acclaimed wines. Den Hoed Wine Estates, the vineyard's owner, is dedicated to showcasing the unique terroir of Wallula, crafting elegant wines that honor their family's legacy and the remarkable landscape.
