Winemaker’s Note: Made as the expression of the relationship between Brandee and Brian: her favorite being Cab Franc, and his Syrah.
From Brandee: “The Newel tastes exactly like what we intended this wine to be: an easy drink on a Wednesday night or a Saturday celebration. It’s an ‘everyday love’ wine + we found that we liked this wine best when served with a little cool.”
On the nose: Plum, raspberry, flint, apple skin, red hots, mustard seed
On the palate: Rich and round. Blackberry, cherry, vanilla cola, raspberry, with just a little bite at the end
Food pairing ideas: All. Of. The. Things. Roasted pork loin with an herb rub. Fried chicken. Beef carpaccio with truffle oil or just blue cheese burgers and fries. Also popcorn.
