Winemaker’s Note:
We all know the first rule of Fight Club. This is a story of someone who didn’t.
Brian is a romantic guy, and Brandee really wanted some Petit Verdot. In an effort to surprise her, he ordered the pick and labeled the surprise grapes “fight club” so that grape’s identity would remain secret.
Being an inquisitive one, Brandee asked around, “What’s Fight Club?” and “What is in that fermenter?” Straight faced, everyone replied, “You know the first rule of Fight Club. We don’t talk about Fight Club.”
Now of course, she had to know. She kept inquiring until she found someone…who did not know the First Rule of Fight Club. This is how she learned about the Petit Verdot found in this bottle.
Brian is still romantic and Brandee is still surprised. Cheers to the romantic spirit! We hope you enjoy this wine as much as we do.
Also, permission to break the first rule of Fight Club granted!

About Graphite Label wines:
Our Graphite Label wines are born from a spirit of exploration, a celebration of the unexpected. It all began with "Thorn Crown," our first Graphite release—born from a bold experiment with new American oak and a blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. This discovery ignited our passion for special, creative projects that push the boundaries of our craft. These wines are unique expressions, defying easy categorization, and vintages that may never be replicated. Take, for example, our "Fight Club"—a wine with a story as rich and unique as its flavor. From single-vineyard rarities like our Mourvèdre to other limited-release explorations, each Graphite Label wine is a testament to our winemaker's passion for experimentation and the pursuit of exceptional, distinctive flavors. These are wines for the adventurous palate, for those who seek the extraordinary.
